B2B Account-Health Survey Playbook
A B2B account-health survey gives your account team a structured read on a customer relationship, beyond what usage dashboards and renewal dates alone can tell you.
1. Survey more than one stakeholder per account
A single champion's opinion can be misleadingly positive or negative. Where you can, reach the economic buyer, a day-to-day user, and an executive sponsor separately, and compare their answers.
2. Ask about adoption, not just satisfaction
Pair a satisfaction rating with a direct question on which features the account actually uses and which they don't - low adoption is often the earliest warning sign of churn, well before satisfaction scores move.
3. Cover support experience separately
A rough support interaction shouldn't be allowed to blend anonymously into an overall relationship score - ask about it on its own so a fixable service issue doesn't get misread as a product problem.
4. Tie it to renewal timing
Run the survey 60-90 days before renewal, giving the account team enough runway to act on what they learn instead of finding out about a risk the week before a contract decision.
5. Feed results directly to the account owner
Route each account's responses straight to its owner via webhook or export, alongside a private survey link scoped to that one account, so feedback stays organized by relationship rather than mixed into one undifferentiated dataset. See the B2B solution page for the broader account workflow.
