Post-Event Feedback Playbook
A ready structure for feedback after a workshop, meetup, or conference.
1. Send it same-day
Feedback quality drops fast after an event - aim to send your survey link within a few hours, while the sessions are still fresh in attendees' minds.
2. A tight question set
- An overall rating question (1-5): "How would you rate the event overall?"
- A matrix question if there were multiple sessions/speakers, rating each on the same scale
- A single-choice question: "How did you hear about this event?" (useful for planning future marketing)
- An open-text question: "What should we do differently next time?"
3. Distribute both ways
Share the public link in a post-event email, and put a QR code on printed materials or a closing slide for in-the-room feedback before people leave.
4. Consider a quick poll instead
For a same-session temperature check ("which topic should we cover next"), the Polls feature gives you live results without building a full survey.
